Plus, we’ll help you get up and running with your email marketing.

WANT TO GO DEEPER WITH EMAIL MARKETING?

Want to learn even more handy tips and tricks about email marketing? You can check out  GoDaddy’s video course on Getting Started with Email Marketing. Remember, if you’re using the Website + Marketing package email marketing is built into your product. Regardless of the product package you select, you’ll still get email marketing tools through the Digital Marketing Suite.

Plan your strategy

First and foremost, you want to make sure your email marketing helps you meet the goals you have for your business. Do you want to inform your audience, drive sales, build your brand, etc.?

Email marketing allows you to be more aggressive in your CTAs because the customer has agreed to receive your emails–they’re already interested in your business! Learn more about setting goals for your email marketing in the video below.

Choose your tools

There are a lot of email tools out there so consider what your goals are and what the tool’s email marketing capabilities are. Does it create mobile-friendly, beautiful emails? Does it have high deliverability? Does it show open and click rates?

Keep in mind that sending emails is only half the battle. Make sure you have a tool that tracks email marketing metrics. (Spoiler: GoDaddy’s Email Marketing tool has all these features. You can learn more about it here).

Measure your success

With effective email marketing tools, you can track how many people open each email and whether they click on the call to action (CTA) in the email. This will tell you what your customers like and don’t like.

Remember, this is a process and customers may still be interested even if they didn’t open the email. Try small changes before overhauling your whole strategy in response to your metrics.
