Congratulations! You’ve curated a list of products that you know your customers want and are well on your way to generating trust with them! Take a moment to celebrate what you’ve been able to accomplish so far.

Streamline your site’s checkout flow

While we’re sure you’re not surprised, there’s more work to do. Even though customers want to buy your products, that doesn’t mean they will. Companies often lose sales because their checkout process is confusing, or they didn’t offer enough incentive to buy. Let’s make sure you’ve got everything squared away for your online checkout process.

Here are some simple strategies to level up your checkout process:

  • Ensure your site and checkout is mobile friendly
  • Offer flexible or multiple payment options
  • Consider lowering shipping costs for the customer (This an option, not a requirement)
  • Set up abandoned cart reminders, perhaps offering a coupon to complete the purchase
  • Use countdown timers to increase urgency
  • Use limited-time offers and sale prices in your messaging

It’s not uncommon for customers to forget to take the final step in purchasing and often need an extra push to get them over the finish line. There are many reasons why they’d leave products in their cart, so don’t feel pushy by sending them an email — a lot of times, customers like receiving the reminder and return to purchase what they selected.

You can also maximize sales on the front-end by employing simple marketing strategies. The work you’ve performed in Course 5 to optimize your SEO will contribute to maximizing your sales.
